The Brrrick project is clear proof of this, an initiative that goes beyond the simple creation of an object: it represents a manifesto of circular economy and virtuous collaboration.
The Brrrick project, presented at Milan Design Week 2025, is the result of a collaboration between Pulvera, IAMMI Studio, and Re Mat. It transforms waste into contemporary design. Re-Flock, the regenerated textile powder from Casati Flock & Fibers, covers a bold, brick-inspired seat: soft to the touch, durable, with a natural texture and warm terracotta hues.
Pulvera, starting with Casati Flock & Fibers’ production waste, recovered and processed 100% nylon flock destined for landfill, transforming it into a new sustainable covering. The powder was not re-dyed, thus maintaining its original color and reducing water, energy, and dye consumption. Instead, it was simply reactivated to adhere to the surface, thus reducing water, energy, and chemical consumption.
Brrrick is part of the SENSES installation, a multisensory experience co-curated by IAMMI and materia-studio: lights, sounds, and textures interact with the object, making the design not only visual but experiential.
This project perfectly represents Pulvera’s vision: capturing and transforming textile waste into new raw materials, taking them beyond the confines of fashion and building bridges between sustainability and design.
